Authorize the negotiation and execution of an interlocal agreement with Travis County for the City of Austin to serve as Fiscal Agent for the 2024 Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) Program to reimburse the subrecipient Travis County for approved JAG project expenses, including the purchase of public safety equipment (speed and message sign trailers, thermal monoculars, leg irons, and other critical safety items), and to use the City’s portion of grant funds for law enforcement training. Funding in the amount of $398,295 is available in a grant from the United States Department of Justice, Bureau of Justice Assistant. A match is not required.
